With the Hamburg Automatik dark blue bronze, we welcome a new member to the STERNGLAS family. This new timepiece is a charming combination of the popular predecessor editions, Bronze and KĆ¼ste (engl. coast). The result is a stylish homage to the historic district Speicherstadt of our home city, Hamburg. Once a warehouse of global trade, the Speicherstadt is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.
In this special timepiece, the bronze-colored case meets the rich dark blue satin-finished dial. The iconic bronze color of the case recalls the red brick buildings of the Hamburg Speicherstadt and the shimmering propellers of international shipping of the last centuries. Correspondingly, the gently curved dial in deep blue color gives the Hamburg Automatik dark blue bronze a maritime character. It symbolizes the infinite expanse and depth of the sea.
The skeletonized needle hands, the "buoy" second hand, and indices with luminescent Nemoto Luminova accentuate the technical character and enable precise time reading. A real eye-catcher is found on the four-screw case back: the engraving of the Speicherstadt with its impressive bridges and the famous Elbphilharmonie (the famous concert hall of Hamburg) in the background captures the spirit of the past and creates a connection between tradition and modernity.
The Hamburg Automatik dark blue bronze is equipped with a reliable Japanese automatic movement by Miyota. The 42mm case made of high-quality stainless steel lends it robust elegance, while the double-domed sapphire crystal keeps scratches at bay. This exquisite timepiece is up to 5 ATM water-resistant and comes with a vintage 20 mocha strap made of Italian leather. Thanks to the quick-release system, the strap can be effortlessly changed without any tools.
