Bauhaus Meets Art Déco – the Sedius model combines two contrasting design philosophies into a watch with a unique character.
The STERNGLAS Sedius, available in white and black, features a classic sector dial that combines concentric circles with lines to create a functional, visually clear, and easily readable display. The blue leaf hands, used for the first time in a STERNGLAS watch, create a striking visual contrast against the satin-finished white and silver dial. In the black version, the gold leaf hands provide contrast against the satin-finished black and anthracite dial. Double-domed and double anti-reflective sapphire crystal not only protects against everyday scratches but also ensures excellent readability.
The duality of Bauhaus and Art DĂ©co is also evident in the movement: the special feature of the Sedius is the analogue Mecha-Quartz movement VH31 by Seiko, which maintains the reliability of a quartz watch while also featuring a smooth second hand. With 4 beats per second, the second hand moves significantly smoother than traditional quartz movements. In this way, the Sedius combines the functionality of Bauhaus with the stylish elegance of Art DĂ©co.
The case made of robust polished 316L stainless steel fits comfortably on the wrist with a diameter of 40 mm and a case height of 8 mm (excl. glass). The 4-fold screwed case back features an abstract day/night engraving that reflects the thematic contrast between Art DĂ©co and Bauhaus.
